The world of all things cardboard, there are three main types of cardboard boxes that are leading the packaging industry. These are the corrugated boxes, Die cut boxes and solid boards. All of which have their own unique purpose on providing effective protection to the contents, through delivery and transit.

We’ll go through each type so you can make the best and informed decision when choosing your boxes.

Corrugated boxes

Corrugated boxes are the most commonly used type of box in packaging. They are made up of layers of kraft paper that are crimped together and sandwiched between more papers. This make-up of the box is where it gets it ultimate strength and durability.

Die cut boxes

Die cut boxes are ideal if you are after a specific size for your products. They are different from a standard box as they are cut with their own slots and tabs, eliminating the need for tape and glue.

A punch is used to create the size and shape of the box according to your requirements.

Solid boards

Solid boards are the ideal solution if you require extra durability for your products. Although it may be worth bearing in mind that the overall weight of your package will increase.

Our solid board boxes are also great for a range of food items such as fruit, veg fish and dairy products, due to their reliable performance in moist conditions.
